What's On > Felin Sgwrsio

The old café on Bangor Street has been turned into a small community centre and is available for local groups for £5 a session only. It is a comfortable, modern, warm place for holding small meetings with room for up to 25 people, created with grant aid from Cist Gwynedd. It’s possible to arrange the tables as one large one or a number of smaller tables. There are tea and coffee making facilities, a disabled toilet and modern resources. It is suitable for small money-raising events. Gwyl y Felin, the Community Council and Fair Trade Felinheli use the venue.

Members of the public are welcome to call in for a cuppa and chat with local councillors on Friday mornings. The Computer Clinic is proving very popular on Wednesday morning and the local history group (Welsh-medium) gathers on Thursday mornings.  Thursday evenings local school children come to read Welsh stories together ( grant aided by the Academi)  and Welsh learners are welcomed on Saturday mornings to chat informally with Welsh-speakers. The Committee holds regular Coffee Mornings on the last Friday morning of each month and regular events such as a St Davids’ Day lunch. Take a look in the window for more information or phone the Chair Aled Jôb ( 07818068205). Aled leads the Welsh learners Club on Saturday mornings and can tell you more about formal Welsh lessons in the area.
